Demarcation Chambers
Sewers for Adoption 6th edition introduced a Demarcation chamber to provide access for maintenance work to lateral drain connections. Undertakers can now enter into an agreement with a Developer to adopt Lateral Drains.
CPM group manufacture a 450mm diameter pre-cast chamber with integral base and benching. The unit fully complies with BS5911-4:2002 and is kitemarked.
The Demarcation chamber system consists of the following components:
- Base unit which comes complete with an integral base and benching for 150mm I.D. clay pipes (can be adapted down to suit 100mm ID pipes) and are pre-fitted with push-fit seals giving water tight connections.
- Raiser sections are available and are supplied with a butyl sealant for water tight joints.
- Cover slab with a 450mm diameter opening used to seat the cover & frame.
- A 350mm diameter access restrictor is available for safety reasons on chambers with a greater depth than 1.2mts.
- The Chamber can be supplied with a number of different cover & frame options:
- 35KN Polypropylene 450mm diameter.
- B125 to BS EN124 / 450mm diameter.
- D400 to BS EN 124 / 450mm square.
