Modular Pipe Systems
The increasing impact of developments in urban areas compromises the natural flow patterns of the water cycle, leading to an increase in the volume and flow rate, together with detrimental impact on the quality of surface water runoff.
The increased volume of water runoff, coupled with faster flow rates could lead to an increased risk of flooding downstream if the local sewer or watercourse does not have sufficient capacity to cope. In these situations extra attenuation will be required, but normally with a restriction on the flow rate from the site. The CPM Group has developed a tank system for attenuation comprising of standard components.
The range of standard components consists of:
- Flexible jointed pipes / short length pipes
- Spigot butts / socket butts
- Stop end bends
- Stop end pipes
- Side entry manholes
- Connecting pipes

To complement the system, the Hydro-Bake® chamber can be used to provide flow control.

Stormwater Attenuation Components
Flexible jointed pipes:
The inherent strength of standard flexible jointed pipes ensures economic bedding design.
Pipes are manufactured and tested to BS EN 1916: 2002/ BS5911-1:2002 and kitemarked.

Stop end bends:
Stop end bends are a dual function unit that combines a stop end for the pipe run and an access point. The unit utilises a 90° pipe bend to form the manhole. An incoming or outgoing small diameter pipe can also be accommodated. (up to and including DN1350)

Stop end pipe:
Large diameter pipe with an end wall (cast into socket or spigot end of pipe) into which an incoming or outgoing small diameter pipe can be accommodated.

Side entry manhole:
Side entry manholes are an economic form of manhole construction utilising fabricated pipe/manhole as a single unit. These units are ideal for maintenance and inspection access.
