Distribution Assistant – Mells
An exciting new opportunity has arisen within the National Distribution Office situated at Mells, Somerset. Reporting to the Distribution Manager, the role will assist in a variety of activities across relevant operations, including supporting the Distribution Manager in managing the day to day operation of the Distribution office, managing customer Health & safety expectations, site specific delivery requirements and ensuring all hauliers comply with Group health & safety policies, understanding and maintaining benchmarks and reporting KPI data. Undertaking all administration duties, analyse data and accurately report on findings.
The successful candidate will be a flexible team player with a can do attitude and able to demonstrate an accurate and methodical approach to their work. The ability to work on their own initiative in a demanding environment is also an important requirement.
Strong IT skills are central to this role, with a good knowledge of Microsoft Word & Excel. A Good geographic knowledge of the UK is also a requirement. Previous experience within a transport/distribution service environment is desirable and full training will be given on systems applicable to the department. A CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence) in Road Haulage or similar qualification would be beneficial. The ability to analyse data & report on findings is essential.

Fitter required at Pollington works
Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the role includes general maintenance duties, both proactive and reactive to ensure there is minimum downtime, finding and fixing faults quickly and effectively and working as part of a team throughout a busy manufacturing factory works to ensure production targets are met. An understanding of PPM schedule is advantageous.
Hours of work are Monday to Friday 7.30 – 17.00
